Join us for a full day class that is perfect for foodies who are interested in learning how to cook authentic Indian cuisine.
This class is designed for beginners who have little to no experience in cooking Punjabi food, and it is held in a friendly and relaxed environment, allowing you to learn at your own pace.
You will learn to make an authentic curry base from scratch, which will form the base of a chicken, paneer, or tofu curry. You will also learn to cook with the essential spices and flavours of authentic Indian cuisine, combining the ingredients to create some tempting starters and classic main dishes.
By the end of the day, you will leave with the confidence to recreate these dishes at home and learn about classic Indian dishes and techniques.
Some of the dishes you will learn to cook include an onion bhaji starter and accompanying dip, a main curry of chicken, paneer, or tofu, a basic dhal side curry using simple spices, how to make perfect rice, and an Indian flatbread.
We'll provide an apron for the day, together with all the equipment, spices, and ingredients, including drinks, lunch, and take-out packs for the day. Come and join us for an exciting culinary journey through the flavours of India and discover the art of home-style Punjabi Indian cooking and learning with guaranteed tasty results!
The morning will be spent making a Curry, rice & flatbreads for lunch followed by a 45 mins long lunch break.
The afternoon will be spent learning to spice a really simple dhal and a starter of onion bhajis.
As eating salad is really good for us, we will also spend a little time learning to dress a salad with all the ingredients you would find on a dip tray such as pickles, raitas, papadams and sev noodles.
This day-long beginner's class is designed to give you total confidence in using all of these techniques, even if you are an accomplished cook, you will learn lots, cook a delicious feast, and leave with a take-out to enjoy in the comfort of your home.
